Nestled in rolling countryside in the beautiful Haute Vienne just minutes form Bellac you will find The Old Barn Gites. You are assured of a warm welcome by your hosts Kim & Gary, who are there to help you enjoy your gite and your stay in the area.
The Old Barn has two gites finished to a high standard offering peace and quiet, along with enjoying a stunning pool, outside eating, play areas and quiet walks where you can enjoy far reaching views, amazing sunrises and sunsets and so much more.
The Haute Vienne boosts many great places to visit for history, for pleasure and for eating. You can take time to stroll the old town streets of Limoges and of course visit the many porcelain shops the area is renowned for, St Junien famous for Hermes has many lovely shops within the town centre and then a walk along the Vienne river is a must. Le Dorat is just minutes away from us and is well known for appearing on many Tour de France stage finishes, Bellac is a hub of activity and has many eateries including take aways.
Many of our guests also venture to Lac St Pardoux about 40 minutes away with large lake, beach area and watersports, if you after some adrenaline chasing then head to Isle Jourdain for zip wiring!

A very warm welcome from The Old Barn Gites! In November 2018, we decided to move to the Haute Vienne, from the UK, to have a change of pace, to enjoy the tranquil setting of the French countryside and not forgetting the gorgeous warm weather. Our rustic 1899 converted barn is split into three. The owners accommodation, and two separate gites. We love the peace and quiet our location offers whilst being just a short 10 minutes’ drive to all the amenities. A real hidden gem in the heart of the Limousin.
